Annual Tax Return Brisbane
For ultimate peace of mind
Tax returns that work harder for your businesses
We prepare annual tax returns for Brisbane small business owners who want more than a form lodged on time. We review your full financial position, identify every deduction you’re entitled to, and look for ways to reduce your tax liability, not just report it.
Rather than treating lodgements as routine form submissions, by reviewing your BAS and IAS as part of your wider tax structure, we help ensure compliance works in your favour.

Did you know the best time to book your tax return isn't June?
Most Brisbane business owners contact their accountant when the deadline is looming. By then, the financial year is already closed, and the options are limited to reporting what happened, not changing it.
The best time to book a tax session with Rhythm Financial is April or May, before 30 June. Tax minimisation strategies need runway to work, and a conversation in April can make a real difference to what you owe in October.

Tax return Brisbane FAQs
What information do I need to provide for my tax return?
Generally, we need access to your accounting software, bank statements, and any relevant income or expense records. Once we have portal access, we’ll identify exactly what’s outstanding and let you know clearly. Most clients find it straightforward once the system is set up.
How long does it take to lodge a business/individual tax return?
Timing depends on the complexity of your return and how quickly we can access your records. For most small businesses, once we have everything we need, preparation and lodgement is completed efficiently. We’ll always give you a clear timeline upfront so you know what to expect.
What's the difference between a company return and a personal tax return?
A company tax return reports the income and deductions of the company as a separate legal entity, lodged at the company tax rate. A personal (individual) return covers your own income, including any salary, dividends, or distributions you’ve received from the company. We help individuals/business owners who often need both.
Do I need a tax accountant or can I just do it myself?
You can lodge your own return, but for most small business owners with a company, trust, or complex financials, the risk of missing deductions or misreporting income is real. A good business tax accountant pays for itself in deductions found and penalties avoided. We make the process simple enough that the time saved alone is usually worth it.
What if I'm behind on previous years' returns?
We can help you catch up. The ATO has provisions for voluntary disclosure and payment arrangements. Getting lodgements up to date is almost always better than leaving them outstanding. We’ll work through the backlog with you and handle the ATO communication.
